VB Previz #27 – Toe Pride

The Gray Acrobat, 18 January 1930, o/c 1.6 x 1.3m
Pablo Picasso, Musee Picasso, Paris

I was at the Musee Picasso in Paris recently… and I couldn’t help but admire how the legendary Spaniard had previsualized SL Avatar Toes by seven decades!

Of course, no one likes SL Avatar Toes. The manicure/pedicure departments are among the weakest parts of our aging avatar. We use problematic prim foot/shoe devices like an aging Hollywood Celebrity grasping at the diminishing returns of plastic surgery. We wear closed-toe shoes and pretend there’s nothing to see.

And of course, most insanely of all, in a world where women are 7-feet tall, we routinely submit to the Foot-Size-0 only rule. In a world that should be empowered, we accept 21st century foot binding without even a faint protest.

Never again! The time has come to speak up.

We take for granted our more-sexy-than-RL bodies, and then go crazy over our Picasso-toes. The time has come to take those Stiletto Moody’s off and bare your toes!

Go Barefoot!

Show your SL Toe Pride!

I have a number of really cute open toe shoes … does that count?

We'd love to hear what you think!
