Holy Moly, Botgirl! I can’t quote exactly, but you post triggered my memory to release a quote or derived quote from Cervantes, “When illusion reigns supreme, it overpowers reality.”
Ha. It can. I’ve been loving religious imagery recently because of the juxtaposition between powerful and authentic perception, and the mythical fictions that provide the gateway to the transcendent experience. That’s the space I was playing around with in this image.
